The day that I choose to get the wheels mounted onto the Challenger was October 31, 2018 and it was literally raining all day. The 20 inch wheel and tire combination was so wide that I had to put the tires in the bed of our Avalanche and the wheels (out of the boxes) in side the cab area.
The wheels were purchase from King Tire on FM 1960 and the tires from another vendor. 20×10 Concave up front with 20×10.5 out back with the tire combination of Lexani 275/35/20in front and 315/35/20 in the rear. When I picked the tires up I was like holy crap these darn things are wide as hell. (Can only imagine what 345s look like).
My lil homie and fellow auto enthusiast Ryan Choat (Who happened to work at Discount Tire) just happened to stop by our shop and notice that I had tires in the back of the truck. He then offered to mount them for me but when we took them to DT, the assistant manager refused to do it since we did not purchase the tires from their company.
Off to Dan’s Tire Shop in Humble, TX and boy did we have a time getting them on there. Ryan ended up helping the guys as I think possibly they had not mounted a wheel and tire combination that large before. All in all, the install was a success but the weather was way to sloppy to go out cruisin’ so that Samurai was just locked away for the night.
